Artemis provides bespoke artefact and art loans covering a huge variety of curriculum topics.
Popular subjects include Africa, Ancient Greece, Ancient Egypt, Animals, Anglo Saxons, Antarctica, Bronze Age, Crime and Punishment, Dinosaurs, Diwali, Electricity, Explorers, Florence Nightingale, Fossils, Great Fire of London, Gypsy Roma Travellers, Houses & Homes, Insects, Iron Age, Islam, Judaism, Knights & Castles, Leeds, Mayans, Minibeasts, Native Americans, Pirates, Rainforest, Rivers, Rocks, Romans, Seaside, Sikhism, Skeletons, Stone Age, Toys, Transport, Tudors, Victorians, Vikings, World War 1 and World War 2.
A ‘typical’ loan covers three subject areas with approximately five artefacts or works of art to support each topic. Loans can either be delivered directly to school or collected by teachers from our collection store. Schools generally borrow items for up to 5 weeks, although longer loans can be negotiated by arrangement.
The most effective way to use the service is to plan your loans in advance for the whole academic year, but we are more than happy to provide one off, ad hoc loans to individual teachers or organisations, sometimes at short notice if required.
