A Picture Paints a Thousand Words

A twilight CPD session on how to use original works of art to support poetry writing

“It opens up children’s imagination and creates many worlds for them to visit!”

This  hands-on session for primary teachers, is designed to support different aspects of the Literacy curriculum, with a particular emphasis on poetry making. Original artworks from the Artemis collection are used as a stimulus for the creation of narrative, characters, dialogue in poetry and story making, encouraging children to explore ideas and develop the content of their writing and descriptive vocabulary.

Suitable for Key Stage 1 and 2 Teachers, Literacy Subject Leaders

It will take place on Wednesday 1st March, 1- 4pm at Artemis
