Local history through storytelling, song and shadow…….

This one day Literacy and History workshop, led by the writer and storyteller Matthew Bellwood and suitable for KS2 pupils, is based on the stories of two Eighteenth Century women who have passed into local folklore. Shadow Stories encourages pupils to think about local folklore and the way in which stories are told and passed on. The importance of storytelling is explored and why the stories have lasted so long. Issues around social justice are also discussed.
