We’ve got an exciting programme of training organised for this term, covering a range of art forms and areas of the curriculum. All the opportunities listed below can be accessed through the SLA.
Cross curricular den building
Coming up in May, we have The Den Experiment, exploring how den building can be the perfect way of teaching Maths and Science. If you are thinking about taking part in Save the Children’s Den Day, then this training, by Chris Harman, will also help you get organised for this fundraising event. Please see the Den Experiment Training Day Flyer (PDF) for more information.
After school art club
For any schools thinking about setting up an art after school club next academic year, our twilight session ‘How to run an art club’ does exactly what it says on the tin. Please see the How to Run a Successful Art Club Flyer for more information.
Get ready for October’s Big Draw with our Making Marks with Meaning training run by Clare Price. This practical session will give teachers lots of ideas of how to incorporate drawing across the curriculum, have a go with a range of drawing materials and learn how to organise a Big Draw event in your school. Please see the Making Marks with Meaning Flyer for more information.
