Leeds Schools’ String Orchestra

Rehearsals are Friday during term time, 6.15 – 8.15pm at Leeds City Academy LS6 2LG

Violin and bow

Leeds Schools’ String Orchestra play a broad range of music from classical to folk, pop, and some of the orchestra’s own arrangements and compositions. They play violin, viola, cello and double bass and are conducted by Ruth Wild and Hannah Duff.

This is the string group for you if you can play a one octave scale, can read those notes without fingering, and can play by ear and improvise with those notes. The group welcomes players from nine to fifteen years old.
