This time next year Roots Alive, the City of Leeds Youth Folk Group, will be preparing to visit Durban in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. Durban and Leeds are twin cities, and it will be a fabulous chance for Leeds teenagers to teach and learn with children from some of the poorest neighbourhoods in Durban. The band last visited in 2013.

The band is raising funds to help them by playing gigs and ceilidhs, as well as selling CDs and merchandise. If you would like to book the band for any occasion, or order a CD or a tee-shirt with the band’s lovely artwork, please contact ruth.wild@leeds.gov.uk
