TEN LEEDS’ SCHOOLS GIVEN LMEP MUSIC CHAMPION STATUS

Artforms-default-1024

Ten Leeds’ schools were given Music Champion status by the Leeds Music Education Partnership (LMEP) last night in recognition of their ongoing commitment to music education.

The inaugural event, which took place at Pudsey Civic Hall, honoured schools for the work they are doing to nurture, develop and enable their pupils’ musical creativity.

The following schools were named as LMEP Music Champions and received a certificate, LMEP Music Champion logos, a banner, and a Music Mark membership:

  • Woodkirk Academy
  • Roundhay All Through School
  • Co-Operative Academy Priesthorpe
  • Pool-in-Whafedale C.of E. Primary School
  • Primrose Lane Primary School
  • Five Lanes Primary School
  • Alwoodley Primary School
  • Carr Manor Primary School
  • Westerton Primary Academy
  • Broomfield South SILC

The evening was a huge success! We would especially like to thank the talented young musicians who performed.
