DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to announce that a fantastic opportunity has arisen for Leeds students to spend the day making music with saxophonist Jess Gillam MBE on 16th June 2023 at Pudsey Civic Hall.\nJess was the winner of the woodwind category for BBC Young Musician of the Year in 2016\, and has been in great demand ever since and has even presented her own radio 3 programme.  More information about her can be found on her website here (jessgillamsax.co.uk). \nThis event is free to wind and brass students in Leeds and has been supported by LMEP and Leeds International Concert Season. It promises to be an amazing day of playing and will give your students an opportunity to see and talk to a professional performer. \nPlease note this event starts at 9:15am. Pre-booked places only – there will be no places available on the door. If your school has not been contacted\, they can enquire by contacting educ.artforms@leeds.gov.uk.
