SUMMARY:Opera North's Big Sing: The Water Diviner's Tale
DESCRIPTION:Join Opera North for a series of performances of Rachel Portman’s piece The Water Diviner’s Tale taking place across Doncaster\, Leeds\, Alnwick & Barnsley\, as part of Opera North’s award winning Big Sing project.\nThe Water Diviner’s Tale focuses on the theme of climate change and how we are all responsible for our actions on earth. Performances will see school children from across the North performing as part of a massed choir\, accompanied by professional soloists\, The Water Diviner narrator and members of the Orchestra of Opera North. \nThe Leeds performance will be held at ‘The Venue’ at Leeds Conservatoire on Thursday 29th June 2023.\nOther performances this year include: \n\nThe Dome\, Doncaster on Friday 23 June\nAlnwick Playhouse\, Alnwick on Tuesday 4th July\nBarnsley Metrodome\, Barnsley on Wednesday 5th July\n\n\nConductor: Nick Shaw \nFor more information and to book tickets\, please click here.
