DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to let you know that Horsforth and North Leeds Music Centre summer clubs are back this year between Tuesday 29th July and Sunday the 3rd August 2025.\n\n\nTwo day events\nTaiko (Limited spaces available)\nFeel the rhythm and energy of Japanese drumming in this dynamic class. Open to all abilities\, you’ll learn powerful beats and experience the joy of group performance. No prior experience is necessary—just bring your energy and a sense of adventure!\nGuitar\nWhether you’re picking up a guitar for the first time or looking to improve your skills\, this session is for you. All levels are welcome\, and instruments are provided. You’ll learn basic chords\, strumming patterns\, and even play some popular tunes!\nRecorder\nPerfect for complete beginners\, this fun and friendly session introduces you to the world of woodwind instruments. All instruments are provided\, so just bring your enthusiasm and a smile!\nThese activities take place at North Leeds Music Centre over two days 29th and 30th July 2025  10.00am-12.30pm\n\n———————————————————–\nFour-day event (4-day Beginners Orchestra)\nIf you’ve been learning a string\, woodwind or brass instrument for a year or more\, join the orchestra and get ready to perform together in just 4 days! You’ll be supported by friendly Music Centre teachers who will help you work on pieces in small groups before joining with other players in a larger group\, to get ready for a short performance on the final day. (We also have space for 2 to 3 keyboard players)\nThis activity takes place at North Leeds Music Centre for the first two days and then continues at Horsforth Music Centre for the next two days. 29th July to 1st August 2025  10.00am-12.30pm\n\n———————————————————-\nTwo-day event (Horsforth Rock School)\nCalling all guitarists\, drummers\, bassists and singers! If you’ve been playing for a year or more\, you can come and form a band in 2 days\, learn about playing\, songwriting and arranging in a group setting\, and perform at the end of the last day!\nThis activity takes place at Horsforth Music Centre. 2nd and 3rd August 2025   10.00am-1.00pm\n \nThese events are heavily subsidised by ArtForms\, therefore there is just a small charge of £10.00 for the two- day events and £20.00 for the four-day events.\nOnce you have completed the Google form https://forms.gle/UKVSr98BCLEra7qU8 and your place will be confirmed by us. You will be then be sent the link to the Ticketsource page to make the payment.
