When communications with Earth fail\, however\, and all hope seems lost\, how will the crew navigate their way out of the unknown …” \nLaura Attridge (librettist) – “I am honoured to be a part of the celebration of Leeds Youth Opera’s 50th anniversary\, particularly as a Yorkshire lass\, myself! DESCRIPTION:Our Leeds Cathedral Girls’ and Boys’ Choir Festivals showcase the outstanding singing of the seven Choirs of Leeds Cathedral\, and choirs from Bradford\, Keighley\, Huddersfield\, Harrogate\, Ripon\, Wakefield and Pontefract\, providing the opportunity for children from across Yorkshire to socialise with like-minded young people. \nAll choirs — with their membership drawn from state schools across Yorkshire — will join together for a free public concert at 2.30 pm\, featuring the world premiere of two commissioned pieces by Van Morrison percussionist turned classical composer\, Teena Lyle. \nThe boys choir festival\, the following week\, can be seen by clicking here.
