DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to announce that a fantastic opportunity has arisen for Leeds students to spend the day making music with saxophonist Jess Gillam MBE on 11th December 2023 at Pudsey Civic Hall.\nJess was the winner of the woodwind category for BBC Young Musician of the Year in 2016\, and has been in great demand ever since and has even presented her own radio 3 programme. More information about her can be found on her website jessgillamsax.co.uk \nThis event is free to all strings\, brass\, woodwind and percussion students studying in Leeds at grade 4 or above and has been supported by LMEP and Leeds International Concert Season. They’ll be performing a selection of traditional Christmas music along with some lesser-known works\, and there’ll be an opportunity for you to join in and sing your favourite carols.\nThe Leeds Youth Singers are delighted to be singing along with the Festival Chorus at this magical event.\nTickets can be purchased here. \nBooking is now open and advanced booking is recommended!
