DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to announce that a fantastic opportunity has arisen for Leeds students to spend the day making music with saxophonist Jess Gillam MBE on 11th December 2023 at Pudsey Civic Hall.\nJess was the winner of the woodwind category for BBC Young Musician of the Year in 2016\, and has been in great demand ever since and has even presented her own radio 3 programme. More information about her can be found on her website jessgillamsax.co.uk \nThis event is free to all strings\, brass\, woodwind and percussion students studying in Leeds at grade 4 or above and has been supported by LMEP and Leeds International Concert Season. It promises to be an amazing day of playing and will give your students an opportunity to work with a professional performer. \nParents are welcome to attend the informal concert at the end of the day\, which will be at 3.45pm. \nYou can sign up for this event here: https://forms.gle/YJkKkms693qyZHqf9 \nPlease note this event starts at 9:15am.
