Enrol now at North Leeds Music Centre. \nThis is a 15 week course at Allerton CE Primary School or a 12 week course at Guiseley School\, running on Saturday mornings during term times with four timeslots available. This is suitable for anyone aged 8 and over. \nThis is run as part of the North Leeds and Guiseley Music Centres and as such\, there are discounts and bursaries available. SUMMARY:Expanding Musical Horizons – Solo and Chamber Workshop with Sterling Elliott and Joseph Havlat
DESCRIPTION:We have exciting opportunity for Leeds students to participate in a solo and chamber workshop with Sterling Elliott and Joseph Havlat on Thursday 22nd February 2024 9.15am – 4.30pm at Pudsey Civic Hall.\nCellist Sterling Elliott is a 2021 Avery Fisher Career Grant recipient and the winner of the Senior Division of the 2019 National Sphinx Competition. Already in his young career\, he has appeared with many major orchestras. More information on Sterling can be found here Bio – Sterling Elliott. \nJoseph Havlat is a pianist and composer from Hobart\, Australia\, based in London. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London and is now working as a soloist and chamber musician for music very new\, very old and some things in between. More information on Joseph can be found here Joseph Havlat\, pianist and composer. \nThis day is for instrumentalists playing at grade 2+ level who are working towards solo work either for an exam or an upcoming performance i.e. concert\, GCSE recording. SUMMARY:Free workshop for woodwind\, brass and percussion players with The Band Of The Yorkshire Regiment
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce an amazing opportunity that is being held by Calderdale Music for woodwind\, brass and percussion instrumentalists to play and perform with The Band Of The Yorkshire Regiment. \nThe band will run a workshop for students\, followed by a joint performance. The venue is Calderdale Music’s base at The Old Courthouse\, Blackwall\, Halifax Town Centre\, HX1 2DL. The workshop is suitable for pupils grade 4 standard and above.  \nThe Band of the Yorkshire Regiment is one of nineteen UK based Army Reserve Bands. You can find out more on their website. Search “Band Of The Yorkshire Regiment” on Google. \nThere is no charge to pupils for taking part in this workshop. \nTo keep the band even\, there will be a limited amount of places per instrument. \nTimings are as follows: 12:30pm – 1:00pm Registration 1:00pm – 2:00pm Full Rehearsal 2:00pm – 2:45pm Sectionals 2:45pm – 3:30pm Full Rehearsal 4:00pm – 4:20pm Concert \nTo take part in the workshop\, each pupil must sign up through this link: Band Of The Yorkshire Regiment Workshop – Calderdale Music \nPlaces are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.
