This summer we’re bringing back our fantastic summer workshops in our music centres!

The Horsforth and North Leeds workshops will take place over several days and the Rothwell and Wetherby workshops will each be a single day. They will include opportunities to learn new instruments, develop your skills and play with other musicians. The cost is just £5 per day.

• 3-Day Orchestra: If you’ve already been learning a string, woodwind or brass instrument for a year or more, join the orchestra and get ready to perform a piece together in just 3 days! You will start off working in a small group, then join with other players in a larger group, to get ready for a short performance on the final day.
• Rock Band Calling all guitarists, drummers, bassists and singers! If you’ve been playing a year or more, you can come and form a band in 3 days, lean about playing, songwriting and arranging in a group setting, and perform at the end of the last day
• Just Play: For total beginners, choose a brass, woodwind or string instrument and learn to play a tune in 3 days! Whether you’re a total beginner or already know the basics, this is a great chance to play in a group and develop new skills. You’ll be working on a mixture of well-known songs and perhaps even coming up with material of your own! Instruments will be provided.

North Leeds Music Centre is excited to bring you the following activities:

1. 2-Day Orchestra – If you’ve already been learning a string, woodwind or brass instrument for a year or more, join the orchestra and get ready to perform a piece together in just 2 days! 2. Voices & Drums – A 2-day singing and taiko workshop for children ages 7 and up. No experience necessary! Over the two days, you’ll sing as part of a group and learn various taiko techniques and pieces, culminating in a performance at the end of the second day.

At Horsforth Music Centre, our goal is to provide opportunities for people of all ages to enjoy making music.

We offer almost a hundred different activities, including music for pre-schoolers, tuition for all ages in most instruments (guitar, piano, steel pans, strings, brass, woodwind and more), to full concert bands and orchestras, choirs, music theory, jazz, rock and salsa. We’re confident that whatever your interest, age or level of ability, there will be something for you at Horsforth Music Centre.

We have a shop on site for instrument supplies, and our café is open all morning for drinks and snacks between lessons.

At Guiseley Music Centre you will find a class to suit you, whether you want to learn how to play an instrument or are looking for an ensemble to join. We offer tuition on most instruments and have a range of ensembles including a Wind Band, Rock Band and Rhythm Club.  You will be given excellent tuition, advice and support from our dedicated, professional enthusiastic team of tutors.

Guiseley Music Centre has a great mixture of students, from children age 3yrs old to adults (whose ages remain a closely guarded secret!) all learning and having fun together. Each year, students have the opportunity to perform in our end of term concerts (December and May) and some ensembles perform at local community events.

East Leeds and Kippax Music Centre offers a wide range of opportunities for music making. We have a varied choice of classes and are open to all ages.

The Centre has a committed and enthusiastic team of well qualified teachers who look forward to sharing their expertise with our members. Whether you want to play in a band or begin to learn a new instrument, East Leeds and Kippax Music Centre is the place to give it a go!

North Leeds Music Centre runs over 50 different music classes and ensembles for children and adults on Saturday mornings at Allerton C of E Primary School, Leeds 17. If you would like to learn (or re-learn) an instrument, join an ensemble or just find out more about music this is the place for you. Activities we offer range from early years and toddler groups to advanced senior orchestras, and everything in between!.

DJ Course

Unlock Your Inner DJ

Join our DJ course and learn to mix and remix songs like a pro. We’ve got a full library of music for you to play with, or bring your own tracks on a USB stick. As you progress, you might even get the chance to produce your own electronic music using Ableton and the PUSH hardware. ️

At South Leeds Music Centre, you will find a class to suit you whether you are a complete beginner or have some experience on your instrument.
