Get making films with your pupils….and then enter them into the Leeds Young Filmmakers Golden Owls Awards 2018!

Last year, we ran some film training, showing teachers how to get making films with their pupils, using iPads and the iMovie app. A number of the schools who attended  the training, not only entered their pupils’ films into the Leeds Young Filmmakers Golden Owl Awards, but some were shortlisted and some even won!

This year, we are delighted to be offering schools First Shot Filmmaking, a half day training course designed to develop your skills and confidence in making films with your pupils.  If you already have some films that you’ve made, then you can submit your entry to the Leeds Young Filmmakers Golden Owl Awards 2018.

Filmmaking can be a great way to excite and engage students in subjects across the curriculum.  Come along to this free session to finid out how to use your ipad to make films with your students.

Any young person, aged 19 years or under from Leeds who has made a short film since January 2016 can submit their film to the Golden Owl Awards and we welcome submissions from individuals or groups. Films can be of any genre or type and schools can submit films produced in lesson time or as extra-curricular activity.
