Planning, progression and practical skills in Primary Design and Technology

19th October 2017, 9.30am – 4pm

Whether you are the subject coordinator for Design and Technology in your primary school or a Key Stage 2 teacher struggling with aspects of the D&T curriculum for your class, our Excellent Design and Technology training day could be for you!

Delivered by national D&T primary education consultant, Gareth Pimley, this session will provide delegates with a strategic overview of the subject before focusing on practical skills, techniques and know how in relation to mechanical and electrical systems. Delegates will design and make products which they will be able to take back to school.

We are delighted to be working with Gareth Pimley again on this Design and Technology training for primary teachers. It is suitable for lead teachers of Design and Technology or for Key Stage 2 teachers with a interest in developing their subject expertise.

The training will look at planning, progression and assessment and there will be two practical workshops in electrical systems and mechanical systems. Delegates will be able to take their workshop projects away with them to use back in school.
