<p>This workshop will introduce pupils to the world of theatre, giving them an insight into the backstage skills and jobs essential for any production.   Pupils will explore a range of props and leatherwork items before creating their own magician’s bag or Second World War map pouch.   These workshops covers D&amp;T National Curriculum requirements.</p>
<p><strong>During the session, pupils will:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Create their own magician’s bag (complete with magic trick!) or map pouch;</li>
<li>Apply their mathematical knowledge of nets to create a 3D object;</li>
<li>Develop their practical and creative skills, using a range of materials;</li>
<li>Make an informed choice regarding the best material for the bag/pouch (taking environmental considerations into account);</li>
<li>Explore the range of creative career opportunities within the arts.</li>

<p>This virtual session is designed to give an overview of the key aspects of leading Design &amp; Technology (D&amp;T) in a primary school context. With reference to the D&amp;T Programme of Study and the Ofsted framework, delegates will consider planning, progression and assessment in D&amp;T. Although the training will be delivered through Zoom, the session will be hands on and there will be a number of practical tasks. These are designed for non- D&amp;T specialists and will support the development of delegate’s skills, knowledge and confidence in D&amp;T. Examples of good practice will be shared and there will be lots of opportunity for questions and discussion.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>ArtForms Arts Development are delighted to be able to offer schools three training sessions targeted at primary D&amp;T Subject Leaders / Coordinators. The schedule of the training is:</p>
<p>&#8211; Autumn Term 2020: 2 hour online CPD course;<br />

<p style="text-align: left;">Delegates will learn practical skills to teach children of all ages to prepare and cook healthy nutritious recipes in line with the statutory requirements for the design and technology curriculum.
