Use drama to develop your pupil’s voice!

Drama can be an effective tool for engaging pupils in their learning across the curriculum.  It can also be used to support and develop pupil’s speaking and listening skills, providing pupil’s with tangible experiences to talk about and developing their confidence to express their thoughts out loud.

Drama can be a fantastic way to get children actively engaged in their learning.  It can get pupils talking and listening, developing their thoughts and ideas.   This way in to concepts and ideas can then provide the content for a piece of writing and help support children to put their thoughts down on paper.

This one day practical workshop is suitable for all KS1 and KS2 primary teachers*.

Join us on this one day training course, with leading drama practitioner, Geoff Readman and learn how drama strategies and conventions are a fantastic way to get your pupils talking, listening and writing.

The day will include an introduction to different starting points for teaching drama and the opportunity to explore and engage in a variety of drama strategies and approaches that facilitate language and writing.  There is no requirement for delegates to have previous expereince of teaching drama.

The Leeds Young Filmmakers Golden Owls Awards 2017!

We are now accepting entries for the next Golden Owls awards so if you have a film that has been made by young people since January 2016 or if you are planning to make one before February 2017 then you can enter it!
