Music & Technology for Girls: inspiring girls to get hands-on

Yorkshire Sound Women Network is delivering the WIRED music technology education programme across Yorkshire, enabling girls and young women to develop creative music technology skills and gain confidence by learning alongside expert women music leaders.

We are offering Leeds secondary schools a free, in-school, half-day (3-hour) practical workshop in June or July 2019, delivered by experienced music educator and YSWN Associate Pam Hulme.

The workshop will combine a hands-on practical live looping session with information on sound technology careers and opportunities, plus a brief history of women in electronic music: exploring pioneers such as Daphne Oram and Imogen Heap and their achievements.

Workshops will be offered on a first come, first served basis. To request a workshop, please complete and return the application form (see the link below) to Heidi Johnson at h.johnson@hud.ac.uk as soon as possible, indicating your preferred workshop dates.
