We’re hitting spots across Leeds with short, informal 30 minute performances – taking song where you least expect it. Take a break from your day and catch Leeds Song popping up around the region.

There’ll be three stages featuring performances from our fantastic ensembles, group players, and 1:1 students, plus a lively Open Mic stage for those who want to share something a little more spontaneous. Our amazing DJ students will also be spinning tracks throughout the day, bringing festival vibes between sets!

We’re also running a cake sale, so do bring along a cake if you’d like to contribute — just remember to include a list of ingredients.

We hope to celebrate everything our young musicians have achieved this year — and we’d love you to bring along friends and family to enjoy it with us.

The performances will run from 09:00 – 12:20. Please speak to your teachers for further details on timings.

Join North Leeds Music Centre as we kick off the festive season in style!

We welcome families to a fun, high energy movement and music session in collaboration with DJ School UK and dance artist Rachel Dean. Expect an interactive session as we take over the dance studio for the morning.

This event is aimed at 3-7yr olds however EVERYONE is welcome! Tickets are limited and are on a first come first served basis. This event is free of charge although we will be taking donations on the door.

Activities:

1. 2-Day Orchestra – If you’ve already been learning a string, woodwind or brass instrument for a year or more, join the orchestra and get ready to perform a piece together in just 2 days! You will start off working in a small group, then join with other players in a larger group, to get ready for a short performance on the final day.
2. Voices & Drums – A 2-day singing and taiko workshop for children ages 7 and up. No experience necessary! Over the two days, you’ll sing as part of a group and learn various taiko techniques and pieces, culminating in a performance at the end of the second day.

Join our DJ course and learn to mix and remix songs like a pro. 🎵 We’ve got a full library of music for you to play with, or bring your own tracks on a USB stick. As you progress, you might even get the chance to produce your own electronic music using Ableton and the PUSH hardware. 🎚️🎹

This is a 15 week course at Allerton CE Primary School or a 12 week course at Guiseley School, running on Saturday mornings during term times with four timeslots available. This is suitable for anyone aged 8 and over.
