<p>For Key Stage 2 pupils, the use of sketchbooks is a National Curriculum requirement. Used effectively, sketchbooks can be embedded across the curriculum and can allow children to focus their thoughts, think creatively and reflect on their learning. Using a sketchbook can be beneficial for children of all ages.</p>
<p>This virtual session will explore how sketchbooks can be developed as a rich resource, for recording, researching and documenting pupils’ ideas and inspiration.  It is designed to give you the confidence to develop the use of sketchbooks in your own classroom.</p>
<p>Delegates will:</p>
<ul class="bullets margin-large-left">
<li>Explore how a sketchbook can be used to evidence teaching and learning in art.</li>
<li>Undertake a practical activity, modelling an approach.</li>
<li>Share ideas and best practice in the use of sketchbooks.</li>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We&#8217;ve got two training sessions coming up which are designed to develop teacher&#8217;s confidence and skills in teaching art, craft and design to primary school aged children.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.leedsforlearning.co.uk/Event/47431">Making the Most of Sketchbooks</a> is a half day training course which aims to develop teacher&#8217;s understanding of how and when to use sketchbooks, so they become a valuable and meaningful learning resource.  The session will take place on the 15th November 2017, 1pm &#8211; 4pm.  For further information, please see the <a href="http://artformsleeds.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Sketchbooks-Flyer.pdf">Sketchbooks Flyer</a></p>
