ArtForms are thrilled to hear that our West Yorkshire music hub partners YAMSEN (Yorkshire Association for Music and Special Educational Needs) have been awarded the Kings Award for Voluntary Service (KAVS). It is being officially announced today (14th November), the King’s birthday.
Equivalent to an MBE, KAVS is the highest Award given to local voluntary groups in the UK, and they are awarded for life. This recognition celebrates the work of a dedicated and talented team of volunteers who are the heartbeat of Yamsen.
As colleagues may know, YAMSEN:SpeciallyMusic provide and promote high quality musical activities and tuition for adults and children with a wide range of additional needs. ArtForms are proud to collaborate with Yamsen to provide the Multi Sensory Days, Accord choir and funding to support music therapy work in schools and settings.
