Leeds Schools Music Association (LSMA)

Every year, the Leeds School’s Music Association (LSMA) organises festival concerts in Leeds Town Hall in which schools from across the city come together to perform.  These include a Christmas Concert (open to all schools) and a three day festival for primary schools in the Summer Term.  Children are given the opportunity to play in various instrumental groups and sing in choirs up to 400 voices strong.

The impact of taking part in these performances enhances a young person’s music making: the effect can last a lifetime. Information about concerts and how children can take part is sent to schools and to ArtForms staff. The LSMA events are run by a committee of ArtForms and school staff.  If you work in a school and would like to join the committee or take another active role in the organisation or the running of the concerts, please contact the ArtForms office at LSMA.artforms@leeds.gov.uk or 0113 378 2850.
