North Leeds Music Centre are hosting their annual symphony playday on Saturday 11^th February at Harehills Lane Baptist Church. We will be working on a lovely Symphony in D major by Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga, a Spanish composer nicknamed the “Spanish Mozart” who died in 1826 aged 19. Starts at 10.30am, light refreshments during breaks but please bring a packed lunch, and we end with a play through for friends and family at 3pm. Cost for the day is £10, free for school age children. Wind/brass nearly full but plenty of room for violins, violas, cellos and basses at around grade 5 standard upwards.
