The Key Stage 1 Little Sing
On Friday 22nd March, LMEP led by ArtForms held their annual, interactive Little Sing for KS1 children. Over 750 children from 22 schools, across two performances enjoyed singing, dancing and playing with a live band to a carefully selected set of songs and activities linked to the theme of a Wander In The Woods. All had a magical time, including the ArtForms staff. Here’s a snapshot of the feedback –

City of Leeds Youth Music Prom
The annual City of Leeds Youth Music Prom took place on Tuesday 26th March at Pudsey Civic Hall. The afternoon concert sold out within a matter of days and over 400 students from 22 schools enjoyed a varied programme. They danced along with the City of Leeds Youth Wind Orchestra, sung along with the City of Leeds Youth Orchestra strings section and cheered loudly with the ever-popular Leeds Youth Jazz-Rock Orchestra.
Guitar Day
On Wednesday the 27th March the ArtForms Guitar Team ran a guitar development day. Around 100 guitarists took part in the day, exploring three part ensemble playing, chords and strumming patterns, and new techniques such as slide and percussive playing. The aim was to introduce students to techniques that they would not have covered within their normal lessons. The day finished with a performance of three pieces to 150 parents. Students were also able to purchase their own guitar slide. Here is a snapshot of the feedback: –
