Art and Craft Home Learning

There’s lots of online resources to support schools and families with Art and Craft activities during the most recent lockdown.

Ideas and signposting

The National Society of Education in Art and Design (NSEAD) have developed a Remote Resources page, designed to be accessed by teachers and parents.

The Crafts Council have created a range of making activities for early years and primary school age children.

Accessible activities – ready to go!

There are lots of creative ideas and activities on the Gomersal Primary Art Blog , all designed for children who are learning at home.  They were originally posted in the first lockdown, but there are so many ideas, it is definitely worth a look!

UK artists have contributed to the Art Is Where the Home is Activity Pack.  There are no specialist materials or skills required.  There are two packs available, so lots to keep you busy!  First Site, the gallery who developed the packs in the first lockdown, also have some great tutorials on their Create At Home page of their website.

Develop drawing skills through the Drawing Challenge developed by Access Art.  They also have lots of free resources suitable for home learning.  These can be found on their Resources for Teaching Art at Home page of their website.

Developing knowledge

BBC Teach showcase different art techniques (drawing, collage, printing and so on) in these short films.
