In 2014/15, Arts Development worked with Digital Me and Sheffield Hallam University on a research and development project: BadgeLAB Leeds. The project involved lots of activities, took place at a range of events and engaged people of all ages.

Following BadgeLABLeeds, ArtForms faciliatated a conversation with Leeds Dance Network, looking at how open badge technology could be used to provide consistency, recognition and progression routes for young dancers in Leeds. Digital Me worked with Yorkshire Dance, the Northern School of Contemporary Dance and ArtForms to put together a proposal to the Arts Council for funding to support a feasibility study of how open badges technology could be used within the dance sector. This resulted in a project which allowed Digital Me to test out and expand on some of the learning from BadgeLABLeeds.
