This year’s Big Sing will be a primary school choir thing! We will be inviting school choir leaders to bring their KS2 choirs (from Y3 to Y6) to come and sing with us at Pudsey Civic Hall, bringing songs they have rehearsed in school choir practices, ready to sing together as one big choir. We will also teach new material to learn on the day, ready for a big sing at the end! 

Date: Friday 19th June

There will be 2 sessions during the day. Please see the approximate times below, they will be confirmed closer to the event date. Sign up invitation emailed to schools February 2026.

• Session 1  10:00 – 12:00
• Session 2  13:00 – 15:00

Do you not yet have a school choir but would like to start one, in preparation for the event? We will be offering extra support to help you to organise your new choir, ready for the big day! 

What can you expect from us before the day? 

•  Resource materials (songs/rehearsal tracks and lyrics) for you to use to practise the songs with your choir at school, ready for the Big Choir Sing 

•  A video resource, where we will teach the songs like a rehearsal, for those choir leaders who may need more support  

What will happen on the day? 

• The event will be led by Claire Rivers 

• The songs will be accompanied by our house band 

• Extra material will be taught, in addition to the songs we share before the event. 

When can you apply to take part? 

An invitation for school choir leaders will be sent out in the new year. We will be offering either a morning or an afternoon session.  

Unfortunately, due to rising costs, and a reduction in funding, some of our mass performance events this year will incur a nominal charge. We continue to try and keep the costs down for schools, while at the same time maintaining the quality that schools expect for our events. The charge per school will be: 

• £30 for choirs under 15 singers  

• £50 for choirs between 15 and 30 pupils
