ArtForms and Leeds Music Education Partnership are delighted to support an exciting new pathway at Leeds College of Music Saturday Music School called SMS Target.

This is an exciting new course for children aged 9-12 years, who love music, providing group lessons for instruments from the woodwind, brass and string families. The instruments include; oboe and bassoon, French horn, trombone and tuba, viola and cello, and double bass.

The aim of SMS Target is to provide an opportunity for a new generation of young musicians to discover these wonderful instruments, which are rarely available in schools. Instruments are available for students attending a state school or academy in Leeds to borrow free of charge from ArtForms.

Classes will take place from September, on Saturday mornings during term times from 10:00-12:45. Fees are £200 per year for students attending a state school or academy in Leeds.

There will be an Open Day on June 25th where children can try a range of instruments and join in a fun music workshop.
