LMEP are delighted to announce that the Leeds Youth Music Festival will be returning again this year, with over 30 events and activities planned throughout June and July.
The festival is a celebration of the cultural and musical diversity in Leeds and brings together schools, youth music groups and LMEP partners. Events will be held across the city including performances from the City of Leeds Youth Orchestras, Diocese of Leeds choirs, jazz from the Junior Conservatoire and Leeds Youth Jazz Rock Orchestra, rock bands and electronic music from The Music Box plus interactive events at the Kirkstall Festival, Headingley Youth Music Festival and from Chapel FM.
How can your school get involved?
- Please sign post your children and young people to these events, or, where appropriate bring a group along to one of the concerts.
- If you are planning a music event in your school and would like to have this included in the festival listings, please contact LMEP.artforms@leeds.gov.uk
- If you would like support with funding for your event, then you can apply to the LMEP Innovative Funding Grant. Grants of up to £500 are available for schools to use for extra – curricular projects and events.
- This grant can also be used to fund transport costs for any of the events listed below.
