Expanding Musical Horizons – Solo and Chamber Workshop with Sterling Elliott and Joseph Havlat

We have exciting opportunity for Leeds students to participate in a solo and chamber workshop with Sterling Elliott and Joseph Havlat on Thursday 22nd February 2024 9.15am – 4.30pm at Pudsey Civic Hall.

Cellist Sterling Elliott is a 2021 Avery Fisher Career Grant recipient and the winner of the Senior Division of the 2019 National Sphinx Competition. Already in his young career, he has appeared with many major orchestras. More information on Sterling can be found here Bio – Sterling Elliott.

Joseph Havlat is a pianist and composer from Hobart, Australia, based in London. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London and is now working as a soloist and chamber musician for music very new, very old and some things in between. This day is for instrumentalists playing at grade 2+ level who are working towards solo work either for an exam or an upcoming performance i.e. concert, GCSE recording. The student will need to bring in a piece of solo work they have been working on in lessons for part of the workshop. 

Parents are welcome to attend the informal concert at the end of the day, which will be at 4pm.
