Leeds Music Education Partnership are delighted to announce that we will be hosting a new music festival called Leeds Youth Music Festival, which is taking place between the 10th June and 15th July 2022. The festival is an opportunity to celebrate the rich and diverse music made by the amazing children and young people of Leeds.

It will incorporate all LMEP funded activities including CLYM concerts, Music Centres, Schools including LMEP Champion Schools, Leeds Schools Music Association (LSMA) Concerts and Music Connect workshops and performances as well as feature activities from our LMEP partners.

Here are some of the exciting events taking place – YAMSEN multi-sensory days on 14th-17th June, The Enchanted Pig (performed by Leeds Youth Opera) on the 6th-9th July, Strings Day on Friday 1st July and Woodwind, Brass and Percussion Day on Tuesday 5th July (featuring school students and various CLYM groups), Big Samba performance event for schools on Monday 11th July, plus many more! More information about all events in this year’s festival will be available shortly.
