LMEP-funded Girls Only DJ Club hailed a huge success

An innovative LMEP-funded project which teaches young girls in Leeds DJ-ing and music production skills has been praised by its participants for making a huge difference to their lives.

The Girls Only DJ Club, led by DJ School UK, is a weekly after school club in which girls from across the city learn how to DJ, beat-match and mix.

As well as developing DJ-ing techniques, the girls discuss social issues facing women and young girls in the music industry and get the chance to show off their skills in exciting live performances.
