We are aware of the severe pressures faced by all schools in the present situation and it is clear that the next academic year will be unique and present new challenges, especially for the first part of the year. ArtForms Music are fully confident that we can provide high-quality provision for your pupils next academic year, whatever form that may take. With current challenges in mind, we have modified our published 2020-21 Music SLA to reflect the best ways we can work with you and your school community. Full details of our SLA are here and the amended offer is here. We hope that we will retain the support of our community of schools and that we can continue to work together to move forward through these difficult times. The team are here should you wish to talk about this or any aspect of music education for your school – please contact educ.artforms@leeds.gov.uk or request a quote via www.leedsforlearning.co.uk. We respectfully request that all schools confirm their SLA provision by Friday 26th June at the latest, to enable us to have time to make arrangements for September. Schools who have already returned their SLA to ArtForms will be contacted by us to discuss your preferred model of delivery for September.
We will continue to offer fully subsidised services from Leeds Music Education Partnership (LMEP) to every school and academy in Leeds through Music Connect. This includes LMEP cashback offers, plus free access to CPD, performance events such as Big Samba (albeit the adapted version for 2021!) and digital resources such as Charanga and Sing Up. Full details of this offer will be available in September.
Considering the Covid-19 situation, we want to provide our young people with some sense of normality and continuity, and music remains an excellent vehicle for bringing people together. Music and arts will be a positive part of a recovery curriculum. To support schools with this, LMEP will be funding live broadcast performances directly into your School Hall, classroom or chosen venue – look out for full details of this in September.
