Friday 8th May 2020 is VE Day and there are lots of resources and activities which you can participate in to mark this momentous date.
- The British Legion have put together resource packs, targeted at specific year groups. There are packs available for pupils who are still at school and also packs specifically for families who are home learning.
- This week, Museum From Home (Leeds Musuems and Galleries) is focusing on objects that tell us more about this special day.
- Mark the day through Dance, with this resource from English Heritage or have a VE Day Party!
- The Child Friendly Leeds blog has some great ideas of things to do – including having a go at making some war time food! They are even running a special VE Day competition!
- If you are feeling musical, here’s the strings version of ‘We’ll Meet Again’ and ‘White Cliffs of Dover’
